FOOD FESTival 2010

The Sun is now towering right above us. The heat is immense and scorching. But even at a time like this, all Patelians are brimming with excitement. The Food Festival is drawing closer every minute, every second.

This year we have called our Food Festival ‘Swaad’. Through the efforts of our parents, we will get to relish the taste of food items from various corners of India and abroad.
We are extremely delighted to have received such an enthusiastic response from our parents some of whom also attended the meeting held on 27^th of March in the Vidyalaya. In this meeting the participating parents formed groups according to their food items and finalised details like the price, quantity to be prepared etc. Each group also chose a group leader. Very briefly we would also like to share with you once again, some information about how the Food Festival is going to be organised:

Ð The school will provide the following:

ü Tables

ü Chairs

ü Refrigerators (if required)

ü Ice slabs (each weighing 45kg) for external cooling purpose only. Ice for consumption should be brought by the parents.

ü The Student’s Executive will also put up a kullar stall from where the kullars will be sold.

ü Volunteers to provide help in decoration etc.

Ð The school will not provide the following:

ü Table cloth

ü Material for decoration

ü Cooking equipment such as gas stove, pans, etc

ü Plastic spoons

Ð Parents are requested to come by 8.00 am to set up their stalls. The junior school gate will be open for your convenience and you are requested to use the same.

Ð Please make arrangements for drinking water for your stall.

Ð The Food Fest is only for the students of the Vidyalaya. You are requested not to bring along friends or relatives as we are catering to a certain number of students and we may fall short of food.

The schedule for the order in which the various classes shall visit the stalls is as follows:

Junior School:	10.30 am to 11.30 am
Middle School:	11.30 am to 12.30 pm
Senior School:	12.30 pm to 01.30 pm

The date of the Food Fest is the 17^th of April 2010, which is a Saturday.

All parents who are participating in the Food Fest are requested to fill in the confirmation form below and send it back through their ward latest by 12^th of April. Group members in charge of bringing the recipes are also requested to send a copy of the same latest by 12^th of April.
